浙江省皮革行业协会是1994年经浙江省民政厅核准注册成立、浙江省经贸委为业务主管单位的承担着全省皮革行业协调管理任务、跨地区、跨部门不分经济性质的全省性行业组织；是以制革、毛皮、皮鞋、皮革制品和皮革化工、皮革机械、皮革五金、鞋用材料等为基础，由从事皮革行业生产经营的企业事业单位、商贸单位、科研院所自愿组成的社会经济团体。现有以民营企业为主体的有专业市场、高等院校、科研单位等多种经济成份组成的近400余家会员单位，下设制革（含毛皮裘革、皮化）、皮件（含革皮服装、裘皮服装、手套、腰带）、皮鞋和箱包四个专业委员会，并在温州、海宁两地建立了信息网络，会员企业的经济总量已占全行业规模以上企业的65‰以上。
浙江省皮革行业协会承担着全省皮革行业的协调管理任务，是跨地区、跨部门，不分经济性质的全省性行业组织，是以我省已形成的皮革工业生产体系包括制革、毛皮、皮鞋、皮革制品和皮革化工、皮革机械、皮革五金、鞋用材料为基础，由从事皮革行业生产经营的企业事业单位、科研单位以及个人自愿组成的社会经济团体。
浙江省皮革行业协会为本行业广大会员服务，维护会员的合法权益，贯彻执行国家的政策、法规，传达政府的意图，完成政府部门所委托的工作，以推动全行的发展为宗旨，在会员和政府部门之间起桥梁和纽带作用，在开展国内外经济合作和技术咨询服务等方面发挥作用。
浙江省皮革行业协会实行常务理事会领导下的理事长负责制，下设秘书处作为协会日常办事机构，在秘书长领导下处理日常业务工作，同时根据协会开展行业活动的需要，组建成立了制革专业委员会、皮鞋专业委员会、皮件专业委员会和箱包专业委员会，作为协会的分支机构。

Zhejiang Leather Industry Association is a provincial inter-regional, inter-departmental professional organization not differentiating economic features. Its task is to provide coordination and service for the leather industry of the whole province It is a social economic organization with the basis of the leather industrial production system already formed in our province, including leather, fur, leather shoes, leather products, leather chemical products, leather machinery, leather hardware and shoe materials, etc, and consisting of enterprises, not-for-profit organizations, and research institutes engaging in the production and trading of leather. d voluntary individuals.
Zhejiang Leather Industry Association serves all its members, protects their legal rights, executes the state policies and regulations, carries out the governmental intentions, and completes the tasks assigned by the government, holding the goal of promoting the development of the whole profession, serving as the bridge and connection between members and the government, and assisting the economic cooperation and technical consulting both in the country and abroad.
Zhejiang Leather Industry Association is under the leadership of its long-standing council with the board chairman in charge. The association has a secretariat to do all the daily work under the leadership of the secretary general. Meanwhile, for the demand to develop the profession activities, the association has established the leather Goods committal, Leather-making production committee and the leather shoes committee, as its sub-structure.
